(250926) -- LINGSHUI, Sept. 26, 2025 (Xinhua) -- A journalist reports on a model of an undersea data cabin for an undersea data center, in Lingshui, south China's Hainan Province, Sept. 25, 2025. China's Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) will officially launch an island-wide independent customs operation on Dec. 18, 2025, which opens up more opportunities for the development of digital trade, international data services and other related fields.
At present, Hainan province is accelerating the construction of fix-line and mobile gigabit networks, international submarine communication cables, international communications gateway exchange, and environmental-friendly data centers, etc., in an effort to provide a solid digital foundation for the innovative development of industries in the free trade port.
