(Photo by Habibur Rahman/Xinhua)The organizers of the forum said that "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" has opened a window for Bangladeshi readers to better understand contemporary China, provided useful references for Bangladesh in exploring a modernization path suited to its national conditions, and offered a new platform for mutual learning and exchanges in the development of China-Bangladesh relations.DHAKA, May 13 (Xinhua) -- The China-Bangladesh Readers Forum on "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" was held recently here with more than 350 attendees from the political, academic, business and media circles of both China and Bangladesh.Participants noted that, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Bangladesh, it is of great significance to strengthen exchanges on governance experience and share the successful experience of Chinese modernization through discussions on the important works of the Chinese leader.It is also important for carrying forward the traditional friendship between the two countries, deepening mutual political trust, and promoting the sustained development of the China-Bangladesh comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, they said.The organizers of the forum said that "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" has opened a window for Bangladeshi readers to better understand contemporary China, provided useful references for Bangladesh in exploring a modernization path suited to its national conditions, and offered a new platform for mutual learning and exchanges in the development of China-Bangladesh relations.Readers can also gain a deeper understanding of the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s deep care about the people, the modernization path with Chinese characteristics, China's relationship with the world in the new era, and the openness and inclusiveness of the Chinese civilization, said the organizers.This photo taken on May 11, 2025 shows the China-Bangladesh Readers Forum on "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" held in Dhaka, Bangladesh. (Photo by Habibur Rahman/Xinhua)Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, the Bangladeshi interim government's adviser to the ministries of road transport and bridges, railways, and power, energy and mineral resources, said that "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" reflects the vision of President Xi and the CPC for building a prosperous China and a peaceful world.Shafiqul Alam, press secretary to the chief adviser of the interim government of Bangladesh, noted that by reading "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China," the country can better understand and learn from China's approach to governance, as well as gain insights into how China has achieved remarkable success in poverty alleviation and development.During the event, Chinese representatives presented Bangladeshi counterparts with Bengali and English editions of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China." Experts and scholars from both countries also held discussions on topics including state governance, reform and development, poverty alleviation, high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and China-Bangladesh friendship.The event was co-hosted by the State Council Information Office of China, the China International Communications Group (CICG) and the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, and jointly organized by China's Foreign Languages Press, the CICG Center for Europe and Asia, and Bangladeshi Madhyama Media Publications Ltd.
